We are all different yet we are all the same.

We want to shake up our current less-than-fulfilling lives. We want to be happier, more loving, forgiving and connected with the people around us.” Brene Brown

The story of SNL's cue cards is fascinating. No, really.

#SNL, #CueCards , This surprisingly interesting video goes behind the scenes at Saturday Night Live to show how crucial their cue cards are to the show. No teleprompters for them. A team of eight, led by SNL's cue card supervisor Wally Feresten, lovingly handwrites (and edits and rewrites) them for each and every episode. (Lifehacker)

‘Homecoming’ Documentary Comes With a Surprise: A Beyoncé Live Album

Beyoncé announced a Netflix documentary called “Homecoming” about her 2018 Coachella performance. But she had another surprise in store.Credit Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for Coachella #Beyoncé #Homecoming #Documentary #Netflix #LiveAlbum  When it comes to Beyoncé releases, there is usually an element of surprise. The singer — who perfected the secret album drop in 2013, and has since toyed with the tactic for releases like “Lemonade” and “Everything Is Love,” with her husband Jay-Z — did it again in the early morning hours Wednesday, one-upping the arrival of her own Netflix documentary, “Homecoming,” with a previously unannounced live-album version of the same concert. [Read our review of the Beyoncé documentary “Homecoming.”] Both the film and the album, also titled “Homecoming,” capture Beyoncé’s performance at last year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, in which the singer — the first black woman to headline the event — was backed by dozens of dancers and an elab

This Is How The Internet Is Rewiring Your Brain

#BrainScience, #CognitiveOverload, #InternetAddiction We email. We tweet. We Facebook. We google. In this incredible age of technology , our computers sometimes seem to have taken control over our everyday lives — from how we buy groceries to how we find mates. How is all this screen time affecting our brains? In his provocative 2010 book, “ The Shallows: What The Internet Is Doing To Our Brain ,” author Nicholas Carr wrote, “The Internet is an interruption system. It seizes our attention only to scramble it.” That doesn’t sound good. Or, is it possible the online world simply helps us adapt to become better multi-taskers, all while we still maintain critical thinking skills? After all, the brain is plastic, meaning it changes based on our behavior and experiences. So then when it comes to technology, what behavior are we practicing — and how does that affect our minds? Here are five freaky facts. Fact #1: The Internet may give you an addict’s brain. MRI research has shown th

Move over, McDonald's: French taco poised for global expansion

#Food #Fastfood #Europe #France  #Frenchtaco  #O’Tacos  At lunchtime on a street near the Gare du Nord in Paris, queues were forming at a fast-food restaurant. Construction workers jostled with schoolchildren for what has become a business phenomenon: the hefty, cheesy slab of indulgence known as the French taco. France has always had a huge market for takeaways, from kebabs to McDonald’s, and fast food accounts for more than half the nation’s restaurants. Now the homegrown French taco is challenging  the burger’s imperialist success  and plotting its own global expansion. The French taco, which bears little resemblance to anything Mexican, is a cross between a grilled panini, wrap, and kebab, with everything sealed inside a vast rectangular parcel – fries included. There is often a pile-up of different meats jostling together, such as chicken nuggets and merguez sausage, and several sauces. It was described by one French food writer who couldn’t finish one as a “hymn to junk

J.K. Rowling says Dumbledore and Grindelwald had an 'intense' 'love' relationship

Poor Dumbledore. The world's most powerful gay wizard still can't find love on screen. In a feature for the DVD and Blu-ray versions of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald released on March 12, author J.K. Rowling revealed that Dumbledore had an "incredibly intense" "love" relationship with Grindelwald, adding that she believes that "there is a sexual dimension to this relationship." Of course, there were no scenes in the film that even nodded to this dynamic. Here's how the author described their relationship in the interview: Their relationship was incredibly intense. It was passionate, and it was a love relationship. But as happens in any relationship, gay or straight or whatever label we want to put on it, one never knows, really, what the other person is feeling. You can’t know, you can believe you know. So I’m less interested in the sexual side—though I believe there is a sexual dimension to this relationship—than I am in
