'Stranger Things' ice cream is coming to Baskin-Robbins in June

#StrangersThings #IceCream #Baskin-Robbins  is launching several “Stranger Things”-inspired ice cream flavors and sweet treats in June. Season 3 of the Netflix show will be released on July 4. The two new flavors the Canton, Massachusetts-based chain is unveiling are Eleven’s Heaven, waffle cone-flavored ice cream with chocolate-coated sugar cone pieces and a chocolate-icing-flavored ribbon, and Upside Down Pralines, chocolate ice cream with praline pecans and a chocolate-caramel flavored ribbon. For those unfamiliar, Eleven is the name of one of the key characters on "Stranger Things," and the Upside Down is an alternate dimension. Baskin-Robbins and Netflix are also partnering to create a Scoops Ahoy ice-cream truck, a reference to the ice cream parlor that's on the show. It will serve fans on the West Coast in June. Baskin-Robbins' other "Stranger Things" tie-ins include: Upside Down Sundae — a sundae made with Upside Down Praline

Day Meets Night in This Amazing Astronaut Photo of Earth from Space

A photograph shared by NASA astronaut Christina Koch shows the boundary between day and night on Earth. (Image: © NASA) #Astronaut #InternationalSpaceStation #ChristinaKoch #NASA An evocative new photo from the International Space Station shows what it's like to fly along the line between darkness and daylight on planet Earth. Expedition 59 astronaut Christina Koch posted the eerie view on Twitter May 20 from one of the windows of the station; the view includes a glimpse of one the orbiting complex's solar arrays. Below, night gradually gives way to daylight as clouds streak above the Earth's surface. "A couple times a year, the @Space_Station orbit happens to align over the day/night shadow line on Earth," Koch wrote with the posted photo. "We are continuously in sunlight, never passing into Earth's shadow from the sun, and the Earth below us is always in dawn or dusk. Beautiful time to cloud watch." Koch added the hashtag #nofil

Tonight!: Ru-Paul's Drag Race Season 11 Finale - Who's Gonna Win?

#BrookeLynHytes #Rupaul #RuPaulsDragRace #SilkyNutmegGanache #AKeriaChanelDavenport #YvieOddly 4th: Silky Nutmeg Ganache METTIE OSTROWSKI FOR EW Aside from what certain fans might think (Silky’s larger-than-life personality hasn’t exactly received the warmest welcome from some viewers), RuPaul — and Drag Race — are clearly in love with the four-course meal of extra-extra-extra personality and glitz this beauty queen has served since episode 1. That being said, it’s likely that Silky’s made-for-TV attitude is what kept her around for so long, as her runway looks haven’t been (and the judges have said as much) up to par with what the other girls have produced — even girls like Ra’Jah O’Hara and Scarlet Envy, who went home many weeks before Silky cemented a spot in the finale. For all the ways Silky has rubbed America wrong this season, it’s important to remember we’re simply watching a minuscule portion of a complete stranger’s life unfold via brief, heavily

After 20 years on the same route, the Whole Neighborhood Turned Out To Say Goodbye to a Beloved Mailman

#PostalWorker #FloydMartin #USPS #Marietta For the last 20 years, Floyd Martin's worked the same route in downtown Marietta, and all the people along his route have come to love him — REALLY love him. “He’s really part of our family," Sarah Bullington, who has lived in the neighborhood for 11 years, told BuzzFeed News. “He’s just really special.” Martin told BuzzFeed News the best part of his job was all the people he met and befriended over the years. "They would invite me to dinner. [On] holidays, they would try to make sure I wasn’t alone. They bring gifts to me. If my truck broke down, which it did, they would come out to check on me. They were there for me," he said. So when some of the neighbors learned Martin was planning to retire a couple of months ago, they knew they had to send him off in style. “I knew we had to do something big,” said Becky Poole, who has known Martin for about 25 years. “I had no idea it was going to be this big.” Aro

Los Angeles LGBT Center Responds to Federal Government’s ‘Conscience Rule’ Rollback of Healthcare Protection

#LALGBTCenter #LGBTQ #LGBTrights #LGBTHealthCare LOS ANGELES, May 2, 2019—In response to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announcement of a final rule—Protecting Statutory Conscience Rights in Health Care—which allows healthcare providers to refuse to perform, accommodate, or assist with healthcare services based on personal objections, Los Angeles LGBT Center Director of Policy and Community Building Terra Russell-Slavin issued the following statement: “The Trump Administration's elimination of critical health care protections under the guise of so-called ‘religious freedom’ is a transparent and cynical ploy to discriminate against women and the LGBT community in order to score points with religious extremists. Millions of Americans—including members of the LGBT community and women—are now at risk because they will be denied access to reproductive care and other basic health services. Once again, this Administration has chosen to put crass political panderin
